ニューヨークの12月31日の最低気温は−13℃。1961年以来の記録的な寒さとなった。特にタイムズスクエアでのカウントダウンイベントを過ごした人には、12時間以上待った人もあり、過酷な環境での年越しだったようだ。

1907年より実施されている世界的にも有名なカウントダウンイベント。今年は、例年以上に警備を強化した中で、実施された。

I was working the main event in Times Square thanks to the lovely people at @timessquarenyc and @timessquareball Thanks also to my friends @noahphoto @chel_lip @ricardomantilla and @yohanperera for showing me the ropes and being good company through an exciting and challenging night! Huge props to @kylenowinski_photos for lending me his gear so I could shoot with two rigs all night—life saver! ✨??✨The cold was no joke and at this moment I was about three minutes from losing my trigger finger to frostbite! But New Yorkers turn every moment of crisis into a party and last night was no exception!
